Madoka

Madoka Majica is a 2011 anime series created by Magica Quartet and animated by Shaft. The series is about a group of high school girls who become magical after agreeing to an offer made by a strange being named Kyubey. Madoka is a high school student from a well to do background with loving parents and one of the girls who accepts Kyubey’s offer of a wish to become magical and fight other creatures. Madoka become friends with a new student named Homura.  Mami, a younger student, takes Madoka and Homura under her wings and show them the wondrous world of being a magical girl and they embark on a quest to have their wishes come true. The series is more oriented to a young female audience but it also has elements to appeal to boys and adults as well.

(YASSSSSSSSSSSSS SLAY QUEEN WOMEN SUPORTING WOMEN SISTERS MEN ARE ALL TRASH!!!!)

The visuals are very bright and vibrant and really went well with the animation. The character designs were very outstanding and the atmosphere feels very fun and joyful.

(You hear that thats the sound of men crying that us sisters are taking away their filthy 2d waifus and those silly wittle incels are getting triggered over a real woman who wouldn't touch their small pp energy)

The voice acting supports the light hearted dialog and comedy and adds to the fun nature of the show. You make a wish from a special magical creature and after you complete your magical duties by hunting down mean old witches, all of your wishes come true.

(EWWW HE SAID HI TO YOU AND HE"S NOT 6FT 5INS MEN ARE TOO DESPERATE AND SHOULD STAY IN THEIR LANE INCELS SHOULD TAKE GENDER STUDY COURSES IF THEY WANT TO GET A REAL WOMEN TO DATE THEM IN OUR INCOME LEVEL)

The series is fun and entertaining and I enjoyed it. Madoka Magica warrants 3 out of 5 stars.

(Facts don't give a shit about your feelings lady. Social media is truly a pathetic place of misery)

What it really is nothing like I mentioned beforehand. The series illustrates that the life of a magical girl is not all peaches but there are harsh lessons to learn. Anybody could die at anytime and the death scenes are extremely dark. Mami’s death in episode 3 where she was eaten by Charlotte sent shockwaves. It meant once the contract has been signed, there is no turning back. Contracts are really illusions as they could be used as punishment for selfish desires. Magical girls are really tools for incubators to fight witches and if you break the contract, you become those monstrous witches.

(What people who say that watching anime, reading manga and playing Japanese video games true forms are like)

The visuals after episode 3 get really dark and very bleak and the art direction of the show is a grim depiction of the hopelessness when someone faces horror and despair. The background design once bright and cheerful becomes haunting and evil. The designs of the witches are bizarre and crude. The level of violence in this show is mortifying and not for the faint of heart and unusual for a magical girl show it has a heavy use of gunplay. The fantasy worlds that the magical girls go to is bizarre with ever present dark overtones in spite of the cheerful designs like Charlotte when was first introduced in episode 3. The superb voice acting now conveys the underlying despair despite the surface cutesy nature. The musical score is very brooding and dark and the change from cutesy and lighthearted to dark and ominous music was perfect.

(what its like when a woketivist steps outside and is not connected on social media is like everything is poison)

The chemistry between the characters was really great especially Homura and Madoka. Homura really left me stunned as she is not only the best magical girl in anime, I think that she is one of the greatest action heroines of all time. First impression of Homura’s was of this quiet, reserved and shy girl but when episode 10 comes, you learn of how she lost many of her friends and every time she traveled through time, she fails to save them. She knows Madoka because they met in the past and she doesn’t want anybody to become witches. Even in the ending animation after episode 3, you’ll see Homura following after Madoka walking.

(when the cards fall down for woketivsits this pic represents how instantly easy it is for them to eat each other alive as a result of crabbinthebucket mentality.)

Kyubey may look like a cute creature but she is a complete monster. Unlike Shogo Makshimi (Pyscho Pass) who was morally grey and considered “pure” by the sybil system, Kyubey has no empathy or any emotions and she needs no justifications for her actions. Kyubey is really one of the best villains in anime history. Mami and Kyoko, while there wasn’t much focus on character development on them, they went horrific suffering.

(Coffee is a normies crack cocaine and this image is exactly the kind of stuff schoolgirls were doing in my old school gossiping and bitching about faux world fucking problems)

The series has its faults. Homuras exploration of other world lines through time travel was underexplored. The dialog stating that girls can’t love girls in the English dub obviously has not aged well.  In the series, it is clear that Homura and Madoka really care for each other. The show has a lot of animation errors and the occasional downgrade in quality with facial expressions during its on air tv run.

(buy as much physical media as you can because fucking polikore crybully strawberry gen baizuos are censoring shit left right and center and Sony is a fucking addict for censorship)

The animation viewed using the physical copies looked better than the episodes aired on tv. The aired episodes were sloppy and were too reliant on CGI. It can be very confusing to fully understand is by far one of the most complex anime I've watched and has really changed my mind about the magical girl genre.

It gets 5 out of 5 kyubeiis /人 ‿‿ 人\ /人 ‿‿ 人\ /人 ‿‿ 人\ /人 ‿‿ 人\ /人 ‿‿ 人\ .

The series was actually part of starting a trend of dark and edgy anime back in the early 2010s where Black Butler and of course Psycho Pass were introduced to the Otaku community and has since become one of the best anime ever to be made.
