Corpse Party is a movie based on the game series of the same name.
It was directed by one of the werewolf game directors so they do know what they’re doing at least with handling the horror stuff.
Like the game and anime itself it focuses on a class being teleported into a alternate dimension of their school and must escape and find out the mysterious of why they really are there in the first place.
The acting was pretty decent and the characters are as meh as you would expect them to be whether its game or anime wise.
The atmosphere is as grim as the game and anime as expected to be and gory too.
Its going to be somewhat condensed too since it crams in alot of the story events into an hour movie lot of the story felt really rushed and unlike the game or anime itself the cast for the most part was together than seperated in other sections of the school.
Sadly a good amount of plot too was also taken out as a result of the 1 hour runtime.
Theres even a fucking pg-13 cut of the movie which is pretty fucking stupid especially knowing the amount of fucked up stuff that happens in the games.
Overall it was an average cash in.
It gets 2 out of 5 stars.
