Fatal Frame’s manga Shadow Priestess is a spin off from the games itself.
The manga itself was writen by one of the kidentachi files mangakas who also even created getbackers too fun fact.
It focuses around Sari Washisuki an architecture studnet who must solve and stop the ghosts from doing evil and how it somehow ties to her past in school.
Its self contained so you can read the manga without really knowing bout the other lore of fatal frame games.
Like in the games itself it has its own cursed folklore and priestess types that causes shitstorms and of course somehow a strange murder or suicide is tied to the ghosts too.
The characters themselves are generally ok as it is.
Its a fairly long manga with about 58 chapters to it.
Camera obscurus is there still and its lot more old school than the atypical camera would be.
Art wise its pretty decent enough.
Atmosphere wise its creepy but i wouldn’t go far to call it scary like say the second game if you ask me personally.
Overall it was an ok manga.
It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
