Radiant Tale

Radiant Tale is an Otome game for the Nintendo Switch. The story revolves around Tifalia and the performers of a circus. The performs cannot do their jobs well and they hope that Tifalia can help them. It mainly focus on dialogue choices and choosing where to go on the map and going through multiple routes.

The characters were generally ok as it is they’re a circus troupe so of course get used to seeing them behave in a very eccentric manner. The artstyle is incredibly vibrant and so was the user interface. The music was excellent. It is a fairly long game and as expected, much of the replay value comes from the other routes you can explore.

The story idea of a circus was similar to Kaleido Star but there is some other supernatural stuff where human beings in the story can end up like zombies as a result of having their emotions zapped from them. The circus part felt more like window dressing and at least Jack Jeanne improved on the entertainer part with frequent performances than the day to day antics.

Overall, it was a decent game.

It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
