tales of xilla
Tales Of Xilla is a jrpg thats part of the Tales series of games by Bandai Namco.
It focuses on Jude and Milla in the world of Reize where monsters and humans co exist with one another and their journey to discovering the mysteries of the world of Reize and you can choose the game through either of their own viewpoint.
The story is atypical of an average tales game so nothing really new here.
I do like the world design of the game the level layouts were ok pretty much thats bout it.
The characters are as average as average can get.
The localization as expected from Bandai Namco is awful and so was the voice acting too in English especially Milla who just sounded very monotone.
Its combat is atypical of an average tales game you approach enemies or they approach you and you can form combos and attack them in the field all in real time.
You get rewarded based on how well you did like before in the tales games.
Leveling up gives you points for the lillum orb to help you unlock new skills and stat boosts.
Player actions include moving, dashing, standard attacks, and artes; artes are special attacks which consume "Technical Points" (TP), the in-game synonym for magic points. Dashing, standard attacks, and artes usage are also restricted by the "Assault Counter" (AC), a synonym for action points.Party members are able to link to each other to perform unified attacks called linked artes.
While linked, the supporting partner provides unique abilities to the character, while also increasing the Linked Artes Gauge. When the Linked Artes Gauge is full, the player character can enter Over Limit which gives them immunity to stagger, unlimited AC, and allows them to use linked artes in succession.
Like in other tales games you can view skits.
The game did had random difficulty spikes here and there.
The music was decent too.
Its not as long as tales of berseria which was a back and forth boring filler fest here its mostly straight to the point.
The graphics are generally ok.
The artstyle was decent too.
It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
